Comics!
“Drawing Session” is a mini comic that started as a class example based on an experience every artist has had at least once in life.
“Ground Control” is a comic inspired by David Bowie and Elton John. Hopefully Tom makes it home safely.
“Zoners” is a comic project co-written by Andre Giles and Joey Reddix with artwork by Justin Ransburg. The comic is about two friends and their hometown. The project is currently on hiatus until further notice.
“Where's My Money” is a Webtoon style formatted one page comic inspired by my interaction with a customer service rep of a company that was giving me the run around. Needless to say, I got them to keep their promise.
“The Dinner Guest” is a snippet of a long form story that's in production. I decided to illustrate these two panels as an example for my comics/manga class students. The assignment that inspired me to finish this was having the students draw a comic based on “a moment in time”. They didn't fully understand but we'll try again soon haha.
“New Cousin Visit” is an introduction to Octa’s unnamed younger cousin. She comes from a small ocean town about an hour’s swim from Octa's hometown of Atlantis. This is her first time living the city and she can get carried away when excited. Needless to say, she's going to have the time of her life.
“Firestarter” is a comic based on an experience I had eating hot Cheetos after years. It was the extra hot brand and it felt like ingesting fire. Thankfully, my stomach didn’t have any issues afterwards and I made this comic.
“CRASH” Is a mini comic I created around 2008-ish to practice sequential art. It was inspired by the sociology class I was taking during summer break at the time. Our professor used Star Trek as a teaching device and we watched an episode at least once a week. He later ran for mayor, but that’s another story for another time.
